Concrete Back in Fashion- Floors, Walls, Furniture, Worktops – We Can Do It All!

When it comes to concrete, sometimes less is more. That’s what we love about polished concrete: It has a simple and stripped-down appeal that makes a big impact. Its smooth, polished surface provides just the right amount of shine to brighten up what once was a cold, industrial raw material. We like to think of it as a clean slate for your style, whether it be minimal, modern, or just plain chic!
A polished concrete floor can be the perfect way to soften the contrast in a black-and-white room. Who needs all 50 shades of gray when you’ve found the perfect one?
Polished concrete mixes well with overt textures, helping to create a layered look. It works very well with warmer natural materials such as wood, clay, fabrics and knitting…
We love the juxtaposition of smooth floors (stairs in this case) with the warmth and texture of these beautiful exposed bricks to create the perfect tactile tension in a space even as narrow as this staircase.
Light monotone polished concrete creates depth off highly polished veneers like the unique Macassar Ebony veneer in this lounge design, which can be viewed in our showroom.
The step above is tactile, easy to maintain and extremely durable concrete like surfaces called Micro Screed. Initially developed by the US Navy for covering the runways on their Aircraft Carriers, it was quickly recognized by a very reputable French company as a trend setter and bought by them to be further developed and turned into what is now known as Micro Screed. With this revolutionary new product anything can be achieved- very plane or very busy, quite flat or textured floors, worktops, walls or any piece of furniture by creating or not texture on the surface by applying even/uneven pressures while troweling the latest layers of product. Results are amazing and are so durable that more and more architects choose them over other materials to put in public areas of luxury receptions, bars, restaurants, concert and sports venues.
